On the sixth floor of KaDeWe, Berlin’s historic luxury department store, the Austernbar brings together visitors from abroad, passing shoppers and long-time Berlin regulars. Oysters, champagne and conversation are at the centre of the visit, with many guests returning to a familiar place at the bar.
We curate and play occasional vinyl-only DJ sets during the Austernbar’s Wednesday special for KaDeWe Loyalty Members. Our selection of jazz and lounge music suits the mix of international visitors and local regulars, adding to the occasion while leaving conversations at the counter undisturbed. The brief is to accompany the food and drinks with an understated musical atmosphere. Alongside the music selection and DJ sets, we handle equipment setup and breakdown.
