When Berliners need a break from the pace of the city, they head to Tempelhofer Feld. Across more than 300 hectares of open space, they ride bikes, fly kites and meet friends for a drink. Blaue Stunde is one of the few places to stop for refreshments on the field: a small kiosk serving draught beer, coffee, snacks and more. Needless to say, people love it there, especially on weekends.
On three Sundays in summer 2026, we hosted our own SOSSEGO Social Club at Blaue Stunde. The pop-up brought music, food and an outdoor living room to this neighbourhood meeting point.
From 2 pm until sunset, Berlin DJs known for their listening selections played Brazilian music, funk, soul, R&B and downtempo. Beneath a canopy, we laid out rugs, arranged seating and brought board games. Neighbours and music lovers settled in to talk, read, play chess or study.
With SOSSEGO Social Club, we wanted to bring the togetherness we knew from O MATO’s club nights into a setting where different generations could feel at home.
Each edition featured a different food pop-up, giving emerging vendors a chance to introduce their cooking. Alongside the DJs, they helped shape each gathering. We conceived the series and handled music curation, programming, production and communication.
