Freie Kiosk Kultur (FKK) turns a vintage K67 kiosk on the MuseumsQuartier forecourt into a free, open platform for art, food and music in Vienna’s public space. In summer 2026, FKK invited us to host a hi-fi pop-up: an outdoor listening session with a lineup we curated.
What drew us in was the combination: culture that is free, outdoors and open to everyone, paired with the sound of a hi-fi bar. This is why we set up a custom-built hi-fi system by Dutch manufacturer O2 Music: we believe free outdoor events deserve first-class sound too.
Our mixed lineup, including Brazilian DJ Lysia and Kax Mahl, played rare listening music for passers-by, tourists and, above all, Vienna’s young alternative art scene. It offered something new to a well-versed crowd while staying calm enough for the neighbours. On a small strip of lawn amid hot stone and 38 degrees of summer heat, it became an oasis for music, drinks and coming together.
